Occupancy Sensors are basically smart light switches.
Lights are automatically switched ON when someone enters the room, they stay ON as long as someone is in the
room and then turn OFF automatically when the room is unoccupied.
In the past, motion sensors were not very popular for indoor applications because they were simply not sensitive enough.
This has well and truely changed. EPV sensors are a major leap
forward in sensitivity. They were designed to work reliably in very demanding appliations (such as offices) where they need to pick up very small
movements reliably.
EPV Occupancy Sensors are a very effective (and very convenient) way to save energy in any building. Such sensors are now also an important requirement
in the new Building Codes of Australia (BCA).
Energy savings are typically 25% to over 60%, depending on usage pattern of rooms. Installation
is very quick and simple and you will begin to save energy immediately.
- Extremely small, will look fantastic in your ceiling!
- Much more sensitive than normal motion sensors. Lights will never turn off while you are in the room - no "waving" at sensor required!
- Suitable for many applications: offices, bathrooms, classrooms, corridors, storage rooms and many more
